Social Media Content Creation
Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all Social Media Content Creation services provided by Melt Productions.

By purchasing a Social Media Content Creation package, accepting a quotation, making payment or instructing Melt Productions to proceed, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Social Media Content Creation Services

Melt Productions provides on-site social media content creation services designed to capture authentic photo and short-form video content for businesses, brands and individuals.

Services may include photography, vertical video capture, short-form reel editing, content planning and other agreed creative services depending on the package purchased.

Social Media Content Creation services are intended primarily for social media and digital use and are not represented as traditional commercial photography, videography or full-scale production services.

2. Packages and Pricing

Melt Productions currently offers the following Social Media Content Creation packages:

  • The Content Refresh - $395; Up to 2 hours on-site, 20 edited photos or 2 edited short-form reels or a mix of both.

  • The Content Session - $595; Up to 3 hours on-site, 30 edited photos or 3 edited short-form reels or a mix of both.

  • The Content Day - $995; Up to 4 hours on-site, 50 edited photos or 5 edited short-form reels or a mix of both.

Package prices apply only to the inclusions expressly advertised or confirmed by Melt Productions at the time of booking.

Additional shoot time, locations, photographs, reels, captions, graphics, raw footage, rush editing or other services are not included unless expressly stated.

Additional services may be purchased at the applicable advertised rate or separately quoted.

3. Payment and Booking Confirmation

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Social Media Content Creation packages must be paid in full before services commence.

A requested shoot date is not considered confirmed until payment has been received and Melt Productions has confirmed the booking.

No pre-shoot planning, content preparation or content creation services will commence until the required payment has been received in full.

Clients wishing to pay via invoice rather than online or credit card payment may contact Melt Productions at info@meltproductions.au.

Where payment is made via invoice, the booking will not be confirmed and services will not commence until cleared payment has been received.

4. Pre-Shoot Planning Questionnaire

Clients will be required to complete a Pre-Shoot Planning Questionnaire before their scheduled content session.

The questionnaire assists Melt Productions in understanding the client's business, brand, priorities, content requirements and intended shoot.

The client is responsible for providing accurate and complete information.

Melt Productions will use the information provided to develop appropriate content ideas and a shot list within the scope of the selected package.

The completed questionnaire must be returned within the timeframe requested by Melt Productions. Failure to provide the required information may limit the preparation that can be completed before the session and may affect the content captured.

5. Shoot Time

Shoot time begins at the confirmed booking time unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Clients are responsible for ensuring the location, products, staff, talent, props, equipment and other required elements are prepared and available at the agreed commencement time.

Client delays, late arrival, unavailable participants, location access issues or other delays within the client's control will form part of the allocated shoot time and may reduce the amount of content captured.

Where Melt Productions is available to continue beyond the booked session, additional shoot time may be charged at the applicable rate.

Additional shoot time is currently $120 per hour, subject to availability.

6. Locations and Travel

The package includes the agreed primary shoot location unless otherwise stated.

Additional locations may be added from $100, depending on location, travel requirements and the additional time required.

Travel fees may apply depending on the location of the shoot and will be communicated before booking where applicable.

The client is responsible for providing accurate parking, access and arrival information.

Any parking fees, venue access fees, permits or similar costs required to undertake the shoot may be charged to the client where agreed.

7. Location Permission

The client is responsible for ensuring they have permission for photography and filming to occur at the nominated location.

Where the shoot is taking place at premises owned or controlled by another person or organisation, the client is responsible for obtaining any required permission unless Melt Productions has expressly agreed otherwise.

8. Client Preparation

Clients are responsible for ensuring anything required to capture the requested content is ready before the session begins.

This may include products, equipment, staff or talent, uniforms or clothing, props, product packaging, signage, clean and prepared shoot areas and appropriate access to required areas.

Melt Productions is not responsible for reduced content output resulting from missing products, unavailable participants, unprepared areas, interruptions or other circumstances within the client's control.

9. People Appearing In Content

The client must advise Melt Productions where employees, contractors, customers, models, talent, children or other identifiable individuals are expected to intentionally participate in the content session.

The client is responsible for informing relevant participants that photography and video recording will occur.

Melt Productions may require appropriate written consent or a separate photo/video release from identifiable participants.

Where a person under 18 is intentionally featured, appropriate consent from a parent or legal guardian may be required.

Melt Productions may decline to capture, deliver or use particular content where appropriate permission has not been obtained.

10. Creative Direction

Melt Productions will consider the client's business, brand, objectives, questionnaire responses and agreed creative brief when planning and creating content.

The client acknowledges that content creation is a creative service and that individual photographs, compositions, poses, footage, angles, edits or concepts cannot be guaranteed unless expressly agreed.

Reference images, trends, videos or inspiration provided by the client are treated as creative references only.

Melt Productions will create original content suited to the client's own business and will not intentionally reproduce another creator's work exactly.

11. Edited Photographs

The number of edited photographs provided is determined by the client's selected package.

Melt Productions will select the photographs considered most suitable for editing and final delivery.

Additional edited photographs may be purchased in batches of 10 for $80, where sufficient suitable imagery is available.

Unedited photographs, duplicates, test images, rejected images and working files are not included.

12. Short-Form Reels

The number of edited reels provided is determined by the client's selected package.

Standard reel editing may include footage selection, trimming, sequencing, basic transitions, text overlays, music or audio where appropriate and basic visual and colour adjustments.

Additional edited reels are currently $85 each.

Advanced animation, extensive visual effects, specialised audio production, complex editing, additional filming or other requirements outside standard reel editing may incur additional fees.

13. Raw Footage and Unedited Content

Raw video footage, unedited photographs, project files and other working files are not included as standard.

Raw footage may be available on request and will be quoted separately.

Melt Productions is not required to retain raw footage, unedited images or project files indefinitely after final content has been delivered.

14. Revisions

All packages have an allowance of 1 round of reel revisions.

A revision round refers to one consolidated set of reasonable amendment requests provided by the client.

Revisions do not include new filming, complete changes of concept or creative direction, replacement concepts or work outside the original agreed brief.

Additional revisions may incur additional fees.

15. Content Delivery and Turnaround

Finished content will be delivered digitally using Melt Productions' nominated delivery method.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, final edited content will generally be delivered within 7–10 business days following the content session.

The 7–10 business day turnaround applies to the initial delivery of edited content and does not include time required for client review, requested revisions or additional services requested after the shoot.

Where revisions are requested, Melt Productions will provide an estimated timeframe for the revised content.

Delivery timeframes may be extended where delays are caused by circumstances outside Melt Productions' reasonable control or where the client requests additional work beyond the original package.

If a client requires content earlier than the standard turnaround period, Rush Editing may be available for an additional fee, subject to Melt Productions' availability.

Any required deadline should be disclosed before booking. Melt Productions does not guarantee an accelerated delivery date unless expressly agreed in writing.

16. Rescheduling

Clients may request one complimentary reschedule of their content session where at least 48 hours' notice is provided before the confirmed shoot time.

The new session date will be subject to Melt Productions' availability.

Where less than 48 hours' notice is provided, Melt Productions may charge a rescheduling fee of $100 before a new shoot date is confirmed, reflecting the time reserved and reasonable administrative and scheduling costs associated with the change.

Where the client fails to attend the session or provides insufficient notice to reasonably allow Melt Productions to reallocate the booking, further reasonable costs may apply.

Repeated rescheduling may require a new booking and may be subject to current package pricing.

Melt Productions will consider genuine emergencies, illness, unsafe weather and other circumstances outside the client's reasonable control on a case-by-case basis.

Nothing in this clause limits any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

17. Client Cancellations

If a client wishes to cancel a confirmed Social Media Content Creation booking, they must notify Melt Productions in writing as soon as reasonably possible.

Where cancellation occurs before services have commenced, any refund or amount retained by Melt Productions will take into account work already performed, reasonable costs already incurred, non-refundable third-party costs and other amounts Melt Productions is lawfully entitled to retain.

Where pre-shoot planning or other services have already commenced, Melt Productions may retain or charge an amount reasonably reflecting the services already provided and costs incurred.

Where a cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the confirmed shoot time, Melt Productions may also retain or charge reasonable amounts reflecting work performed, costs incurred and losses directly associated with the late cancellation, to the extent permitted by law.

Any remaining amount owing to the client will be refunded where required.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights the client may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

18. Cancellation Or Rescheduling By Melt Productions

In the unlikely event that Melt Productions needs to cancel or reschedule a session due to illness, emergency, unsafe conditions or another circumstance preventing the service from reasonably proceeding, the client will be offered an alternative date where appropriate.

Where Melt Productions cannot provide the agreed service within a reasonable timeframe and an alternative arrangement cannot be agreed, any applicable refund or other remedy will be provided in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Melt Productions will communicate any required changes as soon as reasonably practicable.

19. Weather and Unsafe Conditions

Where a content session is dependent on suitable weather or environmental conditions, Melt Productions may recommend rescheduling or modifying the session where conditions are unsafe or materially unsuitable for the planned content.

Weather-related decisions will be made as reasonably close to the shoot as practical based on the circumstances and available information.

Where Melt Productions determines that the session cannot safely or reasonably proceed due to weather, the booking may be rescheduled without the standard rescheduling fee.

Melt Productions reserves the right to stop or decline any activity reasonably considered unsafe.

The client must advise Melt Productions of any known hazards, site requirements, personal protective equipment requirements or safety procedures before the session.

20. Music, Audio and Social Media Platforms

Music, trending audio, platform features and third-party content may be subject to availability, licensing requirements and individual social media platform rules.

Availability may also vary depending on whether the client's social media account is personal, creator or business-based.

Melt Productions cannot guarantee that particular music, audio, trends, effects or platform features will remain available.

The client remains responsible for ensuring their use of delivered content complies with the requirements applicable to their social media accounts, advertising and intended use.

21. Client Use Of Finished Content

Once payment has been received in full, the client may use final delivered content for their own business social media, website, email marketing and general digital promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed.

Content may not be resold, sublicensed or commercially supplied to unrelated third parties without prior written permission from Melt Productions where additional rights or licensing may be required.

Any third-party intellectual property incorporated into finished content remains subject to applicable third-party licensing conditions.

22. Melt Productions Portfolio and Promotional Use

Clients will be given the opportunity to indicate whether Melt Productions may share selected finished content from their session across Melt Productions' website, social media, portfolio and promotional materials.

Clients may provide permission, decline permission or request to be contacted for approval before content is shared.

Declining promotional use will not affect the client's service.

Client permission does not override any separate consent or rights that may apply to identifiable individuals appearing in the content.

23. Social Media Performance

Melt Productions does not guarantee any particular level of views, reach, engagement, followers, enquiries, leads, bookings, sales, revenue or other business outcome resulting from content created.

Social media performance is influenced by factors outside Melt Productions' control, including algorithms, audience behaviour, posting frequency, account history, advertising and the client's use of the delivered content.

24. Third-Party Costs

Unless expressly included, package pricing does not include costs charged by third parties including venue hire, location fees, models or talent, props, products, parking, permits, paid music or licensing, stock assets, specialist equipment or additional suppliers.

Where required, these costs will be communicated and approved before being incurred on the client's behalf.

25. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, these Terms & Conditions are to be read subject to those rights and guarantees.

26. Changes To These Terms

Melt Productions may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

Unless otherwise agreed or required by law, a booking will generally be governed by the version of these Terms & Conditions accepted by the client at the time of purchase or booking.

27. Acceptance

By purchasing a Social Media Content Creation package, accepting a quotation, making payment or instructing Melt Productions to commence services, the client confirms their acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
